The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off the eighth World Series title in franchise history after defeating the New York Yankees in 2024.
After finishing the regular season with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West, the Dodgers went into the offseason and continued to add talent to their roster.
The Dodgers acquired starting pitcher Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki from Japan and relief pitcher Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.
Although Sasaki is the latest member of the Dodgers to come from Japan, Shohei Ohtani is still the face of the franchise, and he has arrived for spring training.

The 2024 NL Most Valuable Player showed up looking ready to go.
Ohtani came to the majors in 2018 with the Los Angeles Angels, where he played six seasons before signing with the Dodgers.
Last season, he played in 159 games and batted .310 with 54 home runs, 130 RBIs, 59 stolen bases and a 1.036 OPS.
Ohtani won AL Rookie of the Year with the Angels in 2018, along with MVP awards in 2021 and 2023.
His first year with the Dodgers proved to be his best year offensively, although that could be credited to him not pitching at all.
It will be interesting to see how the Dodgers utilize Ohtani in 2025, as he will likely be cleared to pitch if they choose to pursue that route.
