The Oakland Athletics missed the postseason for a fourth straight season after finishing with a record of 69-93 and coming in fourth in the American League West.
Although it was an iconic year for the Athletics, who played their final season in Oakland, they had another disappointing season on the field.
The Athletics will play their 2025 games in Sacramento, California, while their new stadium is built in Las Vegas.
Though the move will give the Athletics a fresh start, they will be wearing some vintage jerseys.
“The Athletics are officially bringing back their gold jerseys for the 2025 season,” MLB wrote on X.

The Athletics hope the jerseys can spark a turnaround for the team that has struggled the past few seasons.
This offseason, they made some personnel moves that they also hope will assist in getting the team back to a competitive level.
The Athletics added starting pitcher Luis Severino, pitcher Jeffrey Springs, third baseman Gio Urshela and third baseman Luis Urias.
It will be interesting to see how fans react to the new home of the Athletics, as they have been in Oakland since 1968.
The Athletics will look to get back into the postseason for the first time since 2020 and win their first World Series title since 1989.
