The Los Angeles Dodgers won the eighth World Series title in franchise history after finishing the regular season with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West.
After defeating the New York Yankees in the World Series, the Dodgers went into the offseason and continued to add talent to their roster for 2025.
The Dodgers’ big acquisitions include starting pitcher Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, relief pitcher Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres, and starting pitcher Roki Sasaki from Japan.
With the addition of the two starting pitchers, the Dodgers replaced two they lost to free agency, Jack Flaherty and Walker Buehler.
Sasaki will make his MLB debut, and the Dodgers are excited to see him get started with the team.

In 2024 in Japan, Sasaki appeared in 18 games and was 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings pitched.
Sasaki is reported to have an electric arm, and he likely would have been the first overall pick if he was available in the MLB Draft.
Although Sasaki has never thrown a pitch in the majors, he is expected to be dominant in his first season.
It will be interesting to see how the Dodgers choose to utilize Sasaki, as he has never thrown 130 innings in a season in his career.
