For most Major League Baseball fans, the home run is the most exciting play in the game.
There is nothing better than going to a baseball game and seeing your favorite player blast a no-doubter into the stands.
The New York Yankees have seen plenty of home runs this season, but one player has more than anybody in the league.
According to Baseball Reference on ‘X,’ Aaron Judge leads the American League in home runs by a large margin.

Judge’s 53 home runs on the season are the most in the American League and 11 more than the player with the 2nd most Anthony Santander of the Baltimore Orioles.
While it is unlikely that Judge reaches his American League record of 62 home runs that he hit back in 2022, he still leads all of baseball in the statistic.
On the season, Judge is batting .321 with 53 home runs, 136 runs batted in, and a 1.142 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Judge is having another great regular season, but critics will be the first to tell you about his numbers not rolling over into the postseason.
In 44 career playoff games, Judge is batting .211 with 13 home runs, 25 runs batted in, and a .772 on-base plus slugging percentage.
For whatever reason, Judge seems to struggle come October when the stage is bigger, and the pressure is on.
The addition of Juan Soto this offseason could possibly take some of the pressure off of Judge come playoff time.
Yankees fans are hoping that Judge can continue his eye-popping numbers in the 2024 playoffs as the Yankees seek their 28th World Championship in franchise history.
