The New York Yankees got back into the postseason in 2024 after finishing with a record of 94-68 and winning the American League East.
They made a playoff run to appear in their first World Series since 2009 but ended up losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games.
The Yankees will see some big changes in 2025 after they lost star outfielder Juan Soto to the New York Mets as a free agent.
In another change, Yankees fans could see players with facial hair for the first time in a long time.
MLB insider Jon Heyman revealed his thoughts about the new policy.
“Their calling card is not this dumb rule, it’s the fact they’ve won 27 World Series championships,” Heyman said, via New York Post Sports.

The no facial hair policy has been around for a long time when it comes to the Yankees, and Heyman agrees that it’s time to change the rule.
While many people likely think of the Yankees as the team with no facial hair and no last names on their jerseys, Heyman points out that they are likely more well-known for their 27 World Series titles.
The Yankees will try to defend the American League pennant without Soto in the lineup, but they brought in some reinforcements during the offseason.
They added outfielder Cody Bellinger and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt in hopes of making up for some of the production that was lost.
