Injuries have caused many star players in Major League Baseball to cut their careers short or miss the majority of seasons at a time.
There is never a good time for an injury, but when they happen multiple seasons in a row, it can cause players to make some changes.
The Los Angeles Angels were forced to watch one of their star players walk in free agency this past offseason when Shohei Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Unfortunately, they lost another star player to injury for the majority of the 2024 season.
According to FOX Sports: MLB on ‘X,’ Mike Trout says he is willing to change his position for him to stay on the field next season.

Trout has managed to play 100 games or more just once in the last 5 seasons.
It seems to be injury after injury for Trout recently, and this has caused him to look at other options to help keep him healthy for the entire season.
With his main position always being Center Field, Trout mentions that he is open to possibly moving to a corner outfield position or even designated hitter.
The 3x Most Valuable Player was only able to play 29 games in 2024 where he batted .220 with 10 home runs and 14 runs batted in.
Trout suffered a meniscus tear which ultimately ended his 2024 season.
He will look to continue his rehabbing through the offseason in hopes that he can stay healthy for the 2025 season and get back to his All-Star ways for the Angels.
