The Los Angeles Angels missed the postseason for a 10th straight season after finishing with a record of 63-99 and coming in last in the American League West.
It was their ninth consecutive season with a losing record, and they have made the playoffs once since 2010.
This offseason, the Angels made some notable acquisitions, including starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi, outfielder Jorge Soler and relief pitcher Kenley Jansen.
The acquisitions will likely help the Angels in 2025, but they likely are more concerned with keeping superstar outfielder Mike Trout on the field, as he has dealt with multiple injuries over the past few years.
Trout revealed he would change positions from center field to right field and gave his honest thoughts on the move.
“I just want to be on the field,” Trout said, via MLB Network.

Trout has played all 14 seasons of his MLB career with the Angels.
In 2024, he played in 29 games and batted .220 with 10 home runs, 14 RBIs and an .867 OPS.
Over the past five seasons, Trout has played more than 100 games once.
The position change could increase the chances of Trout staying on the field, and he said he will likely be the DH in some games as well.
If the Angels want to get back to a competitive level, keeping the three-time AL MVP available would be a good place to start.
