On Tuesday, the New York Mets prepare for game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
After being defeated by the Phillies by a score of 7-6 on Sunday, the series now moves to New York tied 1-1.
It has been a while since the Mets have been able to play at home in front of their fans, and the Mets owner Steve Cohen is taking full advantage of being back home.
According to B/R Walk-Off on ‘X,’ Cohen was outside of the stadium meeting with Mets fans before the start of game 3.

The Mets have not made it past the wild-card round of the postseason since losing the World Series back in 2015.
Cohen can be seen taking pictures with excited fans outside of Citi Field in Queens.
Mets fans have not had the luxury of making the postseason and contending for a World Series on a consistent basis like their rival New York team the Yankees.
The Mets have not won a World Series title since 1986, and only have 2 championships in franchise history.
Game 3 on Tuesday will consist of a spectacular pitching matchup between Sean Manaea for the Mets and Aaron Nola for the Phillies.
Both of these pitchers have earned run averages in the 3’s this season, and they both have double digit wins to accompany that.
The winner of game 3 will hold a big advantage over the other team as the other team will then need to win 2 straight games facing elimination.
Mets fans are ready to see their team perform on the big stage and take the 2-1 series lead.
