The New York Yankees made the postseason in 2024 after missing the playoffs in 2023 as they finished with a record of 94-68 and won the American League East.
After losing the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Yankees also took a big hit in the offseason as they lost their superstar outfielder Juan Soto to the New York Mets via free agency.
Losing Soto was not ideal, but the Yankees responded by acquiring some key players of their own, including relief pitcher Devin Williams, outfielder Cody Bellinger, first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, and starting pitcher Max Fried.
As Spring Training gets underway, Fried revealed his thoughts about the Yankees pitching depth.
“The talent that we have on the mound has been really impressive,” Fried said via YES Network on ‘X.’

Fried describes the talent that he has seen on the Yankees after just watching some bullpen sessions as Spring Training gets going.
The Yankees will likely greatly benefit from the veteran presence of Fried, along with the talent he brings to the rotation.
Fried came into the league in 2017 with the Atlanta Braves, where he played all eight seasons of his MLB career to this point.
In 2024, Fried started 29 games where he held a record of 11-10 with a 3.25 ERA and 166 strikeouts in 174.1 innings pitched.
The Yankees could look to Fried to pair with Gerrit Cole as a one, two-punch in the postseason if the team can make it back to the playoffs in 2025.
Although they appeared in the World Series in 2024, the Yankees will seek their first World Series title since 2009.
