The 2024 Major League Baseball season had an exciting conclusion as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees to take the World Series title.
Following the deciding Game 5, a drama-filled offseason kept fans’ attention as multiple big-name players changed teams either via trade or free agency.
Now that spring training is underway, fans can look forward to the 2025 season, as Opening Day is right around the corner.
The Dodgers and Chicago Cubs will play the first MLB games of the 2025 season as they are set to face each other in Tokyo.
Following that, Joe Buck will call the Yankees against the Milwaukee Brewers in their first game.
“Joe Buck will be back on the national stage to call the Brewers vs. Yankees opening day game on ESPN,” MLB wrote on X.

Buck is a well-known broadcaster who was FOX Sports’ lead MLB announcer from 1996 to 2021.
He will be back to call his first nationally televised baseball game since then.
The Yankees and Brewers each won their respective division in 2024, so the game should not only be exciting due to Opening Day, but it also should be a good matchup.
The countdown to the 2025 season is underway, and MLB fans are likely going to see another great year that includes some loaded teams trying to keep the Dodgers from defending their title.
