The New York Yankees are having another great season in 2024 on the backs of their dynamic duo Juan Soto and Aaron Judge.
With a postseason spot already clinched and a 4-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East, the Yankees have their eyes on their 28th World Series Championship.
The Yankees signed star slugger Soto in the offseason in 2023 to a 1-year deal worth 31 million dollars.
According to Buster Olney on ‘X,’ MLB insider Michael Kay addresses Soto’s future following the 2024 playoffs.

Kay mentions that Soto thoroughly enjoys playing in the Bronx with Judge and company.
Soto is putting up big numbers in 2024 with a .286 batting average with 40 home runs, 103 runs batted in, and a .993 on-base plus slugging percentage.
The belief of Kay is that Soto will stay with the Yankees if the money is close to any other offer, but ultimately that Soto will follow the money.
Some of the possible contenders for Soto are believed to be the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Plenty of teams will have the means to offer Soto this coming offseason, but it will come down to his decision on where he wants to play.
It is hard to see Soto leaving the Yankees if they can make a postseason run and either win the American League or the World Series.
Regardless of the outcome this postseason for the Yankees, the Soto sweepstakes is set to be the biggest story this offseason as he will likely become the highest-paid player in the MLB.
