The Minnesota Twins missed the postseason in 2024 after finishing with a record of 82-80 and coming in fourth in the American League Central.
Although three teams from their division made the playoffs, the Twins were the odd men out as they fell out of a playoff spot that they held for the majority of the season.
After a disappointing end to the 2024 season, the Twins have been relatively quiet during the offseason, as they have acquired just a couple of notable players.
The Twins added first baseman Ty France and outfielder Harrison Bader to give their roster some depth in 2025.
Bader revealed the reason he chose to sign with the Twins as a free agent.
“I wanted to be on a competitive team,” Bader said, via MLB Network.

Bader debuted in 2017 with the St. Louis Cardinals and has played for four teams in his eight-year Major League Baseball career.
In 2024 with the New York Mets, Bader played in 143 games and batted .236 with 12 home runs, 51 RBIs and a .657 OPS.
Though the Twins haven’t made many moves this offseason, their lineup has enough talent to be competitive if they can stay healthy.
They will look to get back into the postseason in 2025, and the addition of Bader could help achieve this as he has played on winning teams in the past.
The Twins will look to win the division again after taking the title in 2023.
