The New York Yankees have endless great players that have played for the organization over the years.
One of the most familiar to Major League Baseball fans today is Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
Jeter played 20 seasons for the Yankees from 1995 to 2014, which included 5 World Series titles.
According to FOX Sports: MLB on ‘X,’ Jeter reveals the toughest pitcher that he ever faced in his career.
Derek Jeter says Roy Halladay was the toughest pitcher he ever faced.
One time the Yankees gave Jeter a day off against Halladay, so infield coach Brian Butterfield signed a baseball for him that said "Enjoy your Halladay." 🤣 pic.twitter.com/nEbWEM9cwJ

Jeter was a popular and accomplished Yankees player over his career where he batted .310 with 260 home runs, 1311 runs batted in, and a .817 on-base plus slugging percentage.
One of the most popular plays in baseball history was performed by Jeter where he fielded a ball to his right and threw the ball while jumping at the same time to first.
Jeter says that he is always asked the question of who was the toughest pitcher that he ever played against.
He answers the question by saying that Roy Halladay was the toughest pitcher for him and that he could never get much going off of him.
Halladay was a starting pitcher for both the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies in his 16-year career.
In Halladay’s first ever postseason appearance on October 6, 2010, he threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds.
The 2-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher was tough on a lot of players during his career, but especially tough for Jeter.
Halladay was tragically killed in a plane crash on November 7, 2017, which shook the baseball community as a whole.
He will never be forgotten by MLB fans who watched his amazing career.
