The extensive Major League Baseball season tends to be more of a marathon while the postseason becomes a sprint.
A season that consists of 162 games winds up having players pace themselves throughout the season.
As the postseason gets underway, every baserunner counts as runs are typically scarce come playoff time.
The New York Yankees are known for their home run power, but a newly acquired speedster looks to make an impact with his legs.
According to YES Network on ‘X,’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. reveals how he plans to utilize his speed this postseason.

Chisholm was acquired by the Yankees in 2024 from the Miami Marlins, and he played 46 games for the club.
Those 46 games included 18 stolen bases while only being caught 2 times.
Chisholm expresses that he doesn’t just steal bases simply because of his speed, but because he is a smart baserunner who can read pitchers and know when to take off.
Not only does Chisholm provide intelligence on the base paths himself, but he has worked with his teammates to help them become better base runners.
The Yankees hit the most home runs in baseball this season, but Chisholm adds another aspect to the game for teams to worry about.
After missing the postseason in 2023, the Yankees are back and looking to appear in their first World Series since they won it in 2009.
They will begin the American League Division Series on Saturday where they will take on the Kansas City Royals.
Chisholm will look to make his presence known in game 1 if he can get on base.
