The Los Angeles Dodgers had another great regular season as they had the best record in Major League Baseball with 98 wins and 64 losses.
This has become a regular expectation for the Dodgers as they have had at least 90 wins in each of the last 11 full regular seasons.
Playoffs have also been an expectation for the Dodgers as 2024 will be their 12th straight postseason appearance.
With all of the winning that goes on in the Dodgers organization and the amount of star power on their roster, long playoff runs have become an expectation.
According to The Athletic on ‘X,’ Dodgers manager Dave Roberts reveals the truth about his job security.
Dave Roberts knows the pressure that comes with managing the Los Angeles Dodgers.
"We’re never going to over-exceed expectations because of the reputation we have. That’s a compliment."

Roberts says that he is not concerned about his job security and that he just wants to win another World Series.
Obviously, that is the goal of every manager every season in Major League Baseball.
A bigger point that Roberts explains is that with the amount of winning that occurs in the Dodgers organization, it is impossible to exceed expectations.
This appears to mean that Dodgers fans expect to win the World Series every year, and if they don’t, the season is a disappointment.
A 1st place or bust mentality can be a tough spot to be for a manager and could add pressure to an already stressful job.
According to Roberts’ words, he is not worried about job security, but the Dodgers have not won a World Series since 2020 during the Covid shortened season.
The Dodgers will look to start with a win on Saturday when they take on the San Diego Padres in game 1 of the NLDS.
