The Los Angeles Dodgers ended their 2024 regular season with a win on Sunday over the Colorado Rockies by a score of 2-1.
With the victory over the Rockies, the Dodgers end the regular season with a record of 98 wins and 64 losses.
An injury-riddled starting rotation throughout the year consisted of a bright spot who, when healthy, was dominant.
According to MLB on ‘X,’ Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto had an incredible rookie season.

Yamamoto is a 26-year-old rookie starting pitcher from Japan who battled injuries for part of the 2024 season.
He suffered a rotator cuff strain and was on the injured list from June 16th until September.
In 18 starts this year, Yamamoto had a record of 7 wins and 2 losses with a 3.00 earned run average and 105 strikeouts in 90.0 innings pitched.
The Dodgers head into the postseason with a 1,2 punch of starting pitchers including Jack Flaherty, with a record of 13 wins and 7 losses, and Yamamoto.
Yamamoto appears to be in line to start the second game of the postseason and will look to continue his strong performance in his rookie campaign.
2024 will mark the 12th straight season that the Dodgers have made the postseason, but they only have 1 World Series win in that span coming back in the Covid-shortened 2020 season.
Of those 12 straight playoff appearances, the Dodgers have won the National League West division 11 times with the 1 second-place finish coming in 2021.
Flaherty and Yamamoto should give the Dodgers a good shot at starting the postseason strong while they search for their 8th World Series title in franchise history.
