The New York Yankees will have a different look to their lineup in 2025, coming off of their first World Series appearance since 2009.
After finishing the season with a record of 94-68 and winning the American League East, the Yankees made it to the World Series before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
This offseason, Juan Soto signed with the New York Mets as a free agent, but the Yankees brought in some reinforcements as they acquired outfielder Cody Bellinger and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.
Bellinger recently revealed his thoughts on Goldschmidt.
“Paul is just, he’s a pro’s pro. That’s a guy that has been consistent throughout his whole career,” Bellinger said, via YES Network.
"The offense speaks for itself…he's a tremendous player."

Goldschmidt debuted in 2011 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and played eight seasons before going to the St. Louis Cardinals for the next six seasons.
In 2024 with the Cardinals, Goldschmidt played in 154 games and batted .245 with 22 home runs, 65 RBIs and a .716 OPS.
He won the NL Most Valuable Player award only a couple of years ago.
In 2022, Goldschmidt played in 151 games and batted .317 with 35 home runs, 115 RBIs and a .981 OPS.
The Yankees hope that the additions of Goldschmidt and Bellinger will make up for some of, if not all, the production they lost from Soto’s departure.
New York has its eyes set on its first World Series title since 2009 and the 28th title in franchise history.
