The New York Yankees are coming off their first World Series appearance since 2009, when they last won the title.
Although the Yankees lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024, the successful season is something to build on.
The Yankees will have a different look in 2025 as they lost superstar outfielder Juan Soto to the New York Mets as a free agent.
Though losing Soto hurts, the Yankees will try to replace his production with the offseason acquisition of outfielder Cody Bellinger from the Chicago Cubs.
Bellinger recently revealed what he wants to improve on with the Yankees.
“Just building back my confidence, understanding where my barrel’s at, where my body’s at,” Bellinger said, via YES Network.

Bellinger played six seasons for the Dodgers before going to the Cubs in 2023.
In 2024 with the Cubs, Bellinger played 130 games and batted .266 with 18 home runs, 78 RBIs and a .751 OPS.
Bellinger started his career with a bang as he won NL Rookie of the Year in 2017 and NL Most Valuable Player in 2019 with the Dodgers.
His 2019 season included 156 games played, when he batted .305 with 47 home runs, 115 RBIs and a 1.035 OPS.
Bellinger began to struggle a bit as he batted .165 in 95 games played in 2021.
However, the past two seasons with the Cubs likely give the Yankees hope that Bellinger can get back to his MVP-level of play in 2025.
