The Toronto Blue Jays are in the midst of an underwhelming season where they sit in dead last place in the American League East.
With a record of 73 wins and 80 losses, the Blue Jays will most likely miss the postseason for the first time in the last 3 seasons.
One player who contributed to this lackluster season is Bo Bichette who has been battling injuries all season.
According to B/R Walk-Off on ‘X,’ the Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list with a broken finger, which will end his 2024 season.

The finger injury obtained by Bichette occurred while taking ground balls and taking a strange hop off the tip of his finger.
Bichette, who was an all-star last season, has been struggling with the injury bug for the majority of 2024.
Before his current broken finger, he also suffered from calf and forearm injuries earlier this season.
It was his first game back after rehabbing the recurring calf injury for nearly 2 months.
Whether these injuries contributed to his lacking numbers or not, his 2024 performance is concerning for Blue Jays fans.
On the season, Bichette is hitting .225 with 4 home runs, 31 runs batted in, and a .598 on-base plus slugging percentage in through 81 games played.
These numbers are not great as last season he batted .306 with 20 home runs, 73 runs batted in, and an .814 on-base plus slugging percentage through 135 games played.
The Blue Jays will hope to get a healthy Bichette back in 2025 and see him get back to his all-star numbers that he posted in 2023.
