The Boston Red Sox have struggled over the past few seasons as they have failed to make the postseason in each of the last three years.
In 2024, the Red Sox finished with a record of 81-81 and came in third place in one of the toughest divisions in all of Major League Baseball, the American League East.
The Red Sox went into the offseason and made some impactful moves as they acquired starting pitchers Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler, along with third baseman Alex Bregman.
MLB Analyst Eric Kratz revealed where he believes the Red Sox will finish in the division after the signing of Bregman.
“I still have them in third place,” Kratz said via Foul Territory on ‘X.’

Kratz doesn’t appear to think that Bregman will make much of a difference for the Red Sox in 2025.
Bregman is a nine-year MLB veteran who came into the league in 2016 with the Houston Astros and has played all nine seasons for their organization.
In 2024, Bregman played in 145 games, where he batted .260 with 26 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .768 OPS.
Bregman has proven that he is a consistent player on the field, but his playoff and World Series experience could also benefit the Red Sox if they can make the postseason.
The Red Sox haven’t won the AL East since 2018, when they won the World Series, but the new additions to the team likely have fans believing they can make a run in 2025.
It will be interesting to see what this new Red Sox lineup can do as they try to take down the New York Yankees to win the division.
