The New York Yankees got back to their winning ways in 2024 after missing the postseason in 2023.
After finishing the regular season with a record of 94-68 and winning the American League East, the Yankees made a playoff run to appear in their first World Series since they won the title in 2009.
The Yankees appeared to have some momentum heading into the offseason until they lost one of their star players, Juan Soto, to the New York Mets via free agency.
Although the Yankees lost Soto, they still have reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge on their roster for the 2025 season.
Judge is projected by Fangraphs to have another monster season in 2025.
“Another powerful season is on the horizon for Aaron Judge,” MLB Network wrote on their ‘X’ account.
Judge is projected to hit 47 home runs, drive in 115 runs, along with a .981 OPS and 7.1 WAR.

Judge came into the league in 2016 with the Yankees, where he has played all nine seasons of his MLB career thus far.
In 2024, Judge played in 158 games where he batted .322 with 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, and a 1.159 OPS, which led to his second AL MVP award in the last three seasons.
The projections for Judge have all three main statistics of home runs, RBIs, and OPS dipping in 2025, but the Yankees would likely be more than pleased with those numbers.
After losing Soto, the Yankees hope their offseason acquisitions of outfielder Cody Bellinger and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt will help make up for the production lost.
The Yankees will look to win back-to-back AL East titles for the first time since the 2011-2012 seasons and win their first World Series title since 2009.
