Boone notes that he has been coming to the Coliseum since the early 80s, and it is a little sad to play their last game ever there.
The Yankees were able to take the first 2 games of the series beating the Athletics 4-2 in 10 innings on Friday and 10-0 on Saturday.
They will hope to end their career at the Coliseum with a sweep of the Athletics on Sunday.
With a record of 67 wins and 88 losses, the Athletics have officially been eliminated from playoff contention and will look to end their days at the Coliseum on a positive note.
The Yankees hold a record of 91 wins and 64 losses and will look to inch their way closer to a division title as they have already clinched a postseason berth.
After the Yankees series, the last series ever at the Coliseum will take place between the Athletics and the Texas Rangers with the last game to be played on Thursday.
