The Philadelphia Phillies will head into the 2024 postseason as the winners of the National League East.
2024 will be the 3rd straight season that the Phillies have made the playoffs as they lost the National League Championship Series in 2023 and lost the World Series in 2022.
With a record of 95 wins and 67 losses heading into the last game of the season, the Phillies are 1 of 7 teams with 90+ wins.
One Phillies player accomplished something this season that hasn’t happened in many years.
According to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb, Nick Castellanos is the oldest Phillies player to play in all 162 games since Pete Rose in 1982.
Nick Castellanos is going to be the oldest Phillies player to play in all 162 since Pete Rose in 1982. He might be the only player to do it in MLB this season. The number matters, but so does how he got there. Story: https://t.co/fs5DehWzp6

Castellanos came into the league in 2013 and is currently 32 years old.
2024 will be the first season in his career that he has played in all 162 regular season games and the first Phillies player to do so for over 40 years.
Rose last accomplished this in 1982, and Rose played in 162 games or more 8 times in his 24-year Major League Baseball career.
Castellanos is having a respectable season in 2024 which includes batting .254 with 23 home runs, 86 runs batted in, and a .741 on-base plus slugging percentage.
The extensive Major League Baseball season makes any player who can play in all 162 games even more impressive.
Castellanos will head into the 2024 postseason with the Phillies looking to play better baseball in October than he has in the past.
In 35 career postseason games, Castellanos is batting .197 with 6 home runs, 15 runs batted in, and a .638 on-base plus slugging percentage.
The Phillies and Castellanos will look to get back to the World Series in 2024 and redeem their loss from 2022.
