
Major League Baseball today has tons of great hitters in the American League and National League respectively.
Each year, a player from each league is selected to win the Hank Aaron Award as the best hitter in each league.
The award’s winner is often a player who has had an extraordinary season at the plate.
According to MLB on ‘X,’ the finalists for the Hank Aaron Award are shown for both the American and National leagues.

4 names on this list are players who are participating in the 2024 postseason and have made large impacts on their teams this season.
Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, and Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies stand out.
Ohtani batted .310 on the year with 54 home runs, 130 runs batted in, and a 1.036 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Witt Jr. batted .332 with 32 home runs, 109 runs batted in, and a .977 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Judge batted .322 with 58 home runs, 144 runs batted in, and a 1.159 on-base plus slugging percentage.
Harper batted .285 with 30 home runs, 87 runs batted in, and a .898 on-base plus slugging percentage.
All of these players are the faces of their organizations, and they are all being considered for the Most Valuable Player award.
It appears that Ohtani will win the National League Most Valuable Player award while Judge will win the American League Most Valuable Player award.
Ohtani is seeking his second straight Hank Aaron Award winner as he won it in 2023 along with Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves.
