Thursday only included 1 Major League Baseball game as 3 of the 4 wild-card series ended in only 2 games.
The 1 game was between the New York Mets and the Milwaukee Brewers who had each won 1 game in the series, and the winner of this game would advance.
Game 3 did not disappoint as it came down to the 9th inning when a Mets superstar came through.
According to B/R Walk-Off on ‘X,’ Mets radio broadcaster Howie Rose had an electric call of Pete Alonso’s 3-run home run.

Mets fans were feeling the stress as their team headed into the 9th inning losing 2-0 and down to their last 3 outs.
The intensity built as Francisco Lindor walked, followed by a single by Brandon Nimmo, which left runners on first and third with Alonso coming to the plate.
With 1 out in the inning, Alonso came up to the plate for his biggest plate appearance of his career.
Rose captured the moment perfectly with his electric call of the deep fly ball to right field.
Off the bat, Rose wasn’t sure Alonso got enough of it, but as the ball cleared the fence, Rose went off saying Alonso hit the most memorable home run of his career.
The game had a final score of 4-2, and the Mets are advancing to their first National League Division Series since 2015 when they lost the World Series.
Alonso had been quiet for most of the series, but he was the guy who came through with the series-deciding home run in the 9th.
