The New York Yankees snuck out a win on Wednesday night in game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Kansas City Royals.
With the series now being 2-1 in favor of the Yankees, they can clinch a berth in the American League Championship Series on Thursday in game 4.
The 2 Yankees stars in Aaron Judge and Juan Soto combined to go 0-6 in Wednesday’s game 3, but Soto walked twice, had a sacrifice fly, and a run scored in the Yankees 3-2 victory.
All eyes will be on Soto this offseason as he becomes a free agent, and fans wonder what team Soto is leaning towards joining for 2025.
According to B/R Walk-Off, MLB insider Jon Heyman reveals the favorites to land Soto this offseason.

Heyman appears to believe that Soto will stay in New York next season, however, that might not be with the Yankees.
The Yankees appear to be the favorite to land Soto as he has enjoyed his time there thus far, but the New York Mets have the most money and Heyman believes they are the second most likely team to land Soto.
Soto had a solid regular season for the Yankees in 2024 where he batted .288 with 41 home runs, 109 runs batted in, and a .989 on-base plus slugging percentage.
The 4-time all-star is searching for a World Series ring in 2024 with the Yankees, and if they can win it all, it would appear that Soto would stay put in 2025.
Heyman points out that the Mets have the most money to spend, so it may come down to whether Soto is just chasing the money.
