The National League Division Series and American League Division Series get underway on Saturday.
Matchups include the Detroit Tigers playing the Cleveland Guardians and the Kansas City Royals playing the New York Yankees in the American League.
The National League includes the New York Mets playing the Philadelphia Phillies and the San Diego Padres playing the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ticket prices are always higher in the postseason, but some of these teams are more affordable to see than others.
According to USA Today’s MLB insider Bob Nightengale, average ticket prices for each team’s home games vary.
The average ticket prices for NLDS and ALDS home games, per Logitix.
Philadelphia Phillies: $417
San Diego Padres: $319
New York Mets: $293
Kansas City Royals: $256
Detroit Tigers: $223
Cleveland Guardians: $214
New York Yankees: $177
Los Angeles Dodgers: $154— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) October 4, 2024
The most expensive average ticket price goes to the Phillies at $417 down to the cheapest tickets going to the Dodgers at $154.
There are some interesting things to point out with this list including the discrepancy between the 2 New York teams and the 2 California teams.
It will cost you an average of $293 per ticket to see the Mets, while it will only cost an average of $177 per ticket to see the Yankees.
On the other side of the country, it will cost you $319 per ticket to see the Padres and only $154 to see the Dodgers.
It will be interesting to see how the stadiums fill out during home games and whether or not the majority of fans are fans of the home team.
The Padres do have restrictions in place that will only allow purchase of home game tickets by certain areas in an attempt to get Padres fans in the building.
All Divisional Series games should see full attendance, but the split of home team and away team fans will be something to watch.
