The Los Angeles Dodgers made arguably the most popular signing this last offseason when they signed Shohei Ohtani to a 10-year contract worth 700 million dollars.
Ohtani is most well-known for his dominance at the plate as a hitter and on the mound as a pitcher.
This season, Ohtani has been limited to only batting due to undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2023.
Most fans believed that they would have to wait until next season to see Ohtani pitch, but that may not be the case.
According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, the Dodgers haven’t ruled out Ohtani pitching in the 2024 postseason.

The Dodgers are leading the NL West division by 5 games over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Ohtani has been masterful at the plate this season where he sports a .292 batting average with 47 home runs, and 104 runs batted in.
Ohtani seems to be the favorite in the MVP race, but Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets is also making a case to be in the conversation with a late-season surge.
As the Dodgers prepare for the postseason, most people believed that they would only be seeing Ohtani at the plate, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts says, “you should leave a crack in the door.”
Roberts hinted that it is possible to see Ohtani on the mound if everything lines up correctly, but also pointed out that it should not be counted on.
Whether Ohtani takes the mound this year or not, he should continue to make a powerful impact as a designated hitter in this loaded Dodgers lineup as they make a push for the pennant.
