The Detroit Tigers have undoubtedly taken over Major League Baseball recently with their historic comeback in the 2024 season.
Currently tied for the 2nd wild-card spot in the American League, the Tigers have clawed their way back into the playoff picture.
A little over a month ago, the Tigers were 11 games back of a playoff spot, but now they control their destiny going into the final stretch of the regular season.
They are calling up reinforcements in the bullpen for the final stretch as they announced the call-up of the best pitching prospect in baseball.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Tigers are calling up Jackson Jobe to join their bullpen.

With a record of 82 wins and 74 losses, the Tigers are 6 games away from making their first postseason appearance since 2014.
Jobe will join the bullpen this week to add some strikeout capabilities that could come in handy down the stretch.
The 2024 season for Jobe included playing for 3 different teams including 2 games in AAA, 16 games in AA, and 3 games in A+.
In his longest stretch of 16 games for the AA club, Jobe had a 1.95 earned run average with 81 strikeouts in 73.2 innings pitched.
Jobe was a starting pitcher for all of the teams he played for this year, so an adjustment to the bullpen could come into play.
He is also only 22 years old, so it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of the Major League as each moment could make or break his team’s playoff chances.
The Tigers will begin a 3-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
