Some of America’s biggest sports including the National Football League and Major League Baseball have begun playing games in other countries to try and grow the sports.
International MLB games were started in 1996 when the New York Mets and San Diego Padres traveled to Mexico for a three-game series.
Advertisement is a major source of income for any professional sport in the world today, and the MLB broke some news for the 2024 postseason.
According to FOX Sports: MLB, 2024 playoff teams will wear a sponsored Strauss logo on their helmets.
MLB announced that teams will have a sponsored STRAUSS logo on their helmets during the postseason through 2027.
Strauss will also appear on every helmet during the minor league season and major league games played in Europe from 2025-27. pic.twitter.com/3VlS8j3ybj

Strauss is an apparel company from Germany that entered the United States market in 2023.
Major league baseball and Strauss agreed to a 4-year deal running through the year 2027.
The Strauss logo will also appear in the minor leagues and in major league games that are played in Europe for the years 2025 through 2027.
Advertising is everywhere in Major League Baseball and can be seen on every pitch on TV behind the plate.
The paid advertisement brings in millions of dollars to the league and is a vital part of what makes the MLB possible and able to pay its players.
It will be interesting to see if the new sponsorship sparks more partnerships with the MLB in the future from companies in different countries.
It appears that Strauss wants its apparel to grow in popularity in the United States, and striking a deal with America’s pastime might be the best way to accomplish that goal.
