There is never a good time for an injury to happen, but September is one of the worst times for an injury to strike as MLB teams prepare for the postseason.
The Houston Astros are preparing for another playoff run as the MLB season winds down in September.
The Astros got a bit of bad luck when Chas McCormick was injured after running into the right field wall in a loss against the Oakland Athletics on September 10.
According to Astros field reporter Julia Morales, McCormick will be placed on the 10-day IL after suffering a fracture in his right hand.

Infielder Grae Kessinger and left-handed pitcher Bryan King were also recalled from Sugar Land.
Right-handed pitcher Nick Hernandez was optioned to Triple-A.
McCormick was underperforming this year sporting a .211 batting average with 5 home runs, 27 runs batted in, and a .576 OPS.
The Astros have been in the last 7 American League Championship Series, and they have won 4 of those.
Astros fans are hoping for a repeat of the 2022 season when they were able to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 to take the World Series title.
If the Astros hope to make another pennant run, they will need to avoid the injury bug any further and stay hopeful that McCormick can recover fast enough to play again this season.
